Orders are shipped via FedEx Overnight, and require your signature at the time of delivery.

Is Safe To Ship A Live Animal?
This is a perfectly reasonable question which we get asked all the time. You want to be sure your tortoise will arrive safe and sound, and the practice of shipping live animals, especially reptiles, seems risky at best.
For over 30 years, the FedEx Live Animal Desk has employed a dedicated team of experts who specialize in coordinating live animal transportation. From polar bears to snakes and a plethora of species in between, this team knows their stuff.
Also, we only use FedEx approved, insulated, absorbent packaging that is specifically designed to keep reptiles safe. If necessary, we will coordinate with FedEx to ensure temperature-controlled shipping conditions.
On top of all that, The Tortoise Home provides a 14-day health guarantee.
It's best to have your animal's habitat ready when it arrives, but don't worry — your tortoise is in good hands!
